I recently bought a RTX 3090 TI and the Corsair XG7 waterblock to go with it. I got the original fan shroud removed and the waterblock installed. But I noticed 3 screw holes (one near the PCI-E connector and two on the pump side). Neither holes actually attach the backplate to either the card nor the front plate. Do these need to be screwed down? Or is it fine as is?

(Right now I can't access imgur to upload a picture of what I am trying to describe.)

Okay. I figured out why I couldn't log on to imgur. So the image shows the top screw hole near the pci-e connector and the two holes on either side of "XG7//3090 TI". Trying to get screws through the cutouts don't thread well, but I see no reason for the screws. How important are these three screws? (I tried looking this up on youtube, but all I found was for 3090 and the back plate looked slightly different.)

(I posted this in cooling as well, but since this is concerning a GPU thought I'd post here too.) I recently bought a RTX 3090 TI and the Corsair XG7 waterblock to go with it. I got the original fan shroud removed and the waterblock installed. But I noticed 3 screw holes (one near the PCI-E connector and two on either side of "XG7//3090 TI" on the pump side ). Neither holes actually attach the backplate to either the card nor the front plate. With the backplate attached, the screws don't thread properly. Do these need to be screwed down? Or is it fine as is?
