Cortana overlay pops up across my screen when I open up my laptop?

So every time I open my laptop and wake it from sleep, There is a Cortana overlay across the top left of the screen that says something like "Tap and say, 'What's the traffic like on the way to work'" and the only way to get rid of it (as it's in the way when I need to do something) is to click on it, making Cortana go fullscreen and cover up everything. So how do I get the overlay to go away?
