I bought Cooler Master Cosmos II case.

I'm not 100% satisfied because it is not so quiet as I was hoping. there is no problem with big front fan, but rear (140mm) and top fan (120mm) I would change them if there is better Cooler Master fans (quiet, but good flow).

also, case comes with two bottom side fans (2 x 120mm) for HDDs, but as I do not have anything there, I think they are useless there so I would remove them, they just create noise for nothing.

120mm fans are A12025-12CB-3BN-F1, and rear 140mm is A14025-12CB-3BN-F1

please, can someone provide me info on these stock fans, noise db leven, rpm, static pressure.

in my city, I can buy at shop R4-L2R-20AC-GP, and R4-R2S-12AK-GP.

of course, I can also order any other fans if there is need.

i had the same case, Yes remove those hdd fans or just unplug if no hdd in there. if they are all connected to the controller you can turn them down also when only browsing net, up when doing heaving loads. replacement quieter fans can be sought but need the same wiring config 3pin connectors

as I can find on net, A12025-12CB-3BN-F1 is 1200rpm 19db.

and R4-L2R-20AC-GP should be 2000rpm 19db.

does it mean that one produces 19db at 1200rpm, and other produce the same noise level but at 2000rpm ??

but is possible to use other manufacturer fan with cooler master controller?

if A12025-12CB-3BN-F1 at 1200rpm makes 19db, than how much db at 1200rpm R4-L2R-20AC-GP (max speed 2000rpm) should make? they are already available for me but I'm waiting for someone to confirm this.

today I bought one R4-L2R-20AC-GP

you can feel it is much stronger than A12025-12CB-3BN-F1, and it is loud only at high speed (with Cosmos 2 case you can switch between low / medium / high fan speed).

but there is very annoying sound at low and medium speed, and it is not sound of airflow. it sound is even emited if you stop fan with force by hand.

same with big front fan. it annoying sound only disappears at high speed, and sometimes randomly for short periods.

what is that and is there anything which I can do?

I did not see that problem with A12025-12CB-3BN-F1. they only make sound of airflow.

looks like cosmos II fan controller is responsible for annoying noise. when fans are connected to mainboard, there is no that noise (at all speed range).

only A12025-12CB-3BN-F1, which are connected to controller and are placed at top, do not make any bad sound, just airflow noise.

can anyone tell me is this Cosmos II controller compatible with other brands of case fans? for example Nanoxia deep silence. I heard that Cosmos II have upgrade for controller which have to allow using of other brand case fans, but that news is from 2012. I bought this case recently so does it now include controller upgrade or not?

all 3 pin fans are compatible, they don't run a special voltage or wired any different than any other 3 pin fans
This is why i suggest 1200 rpm fans. You got higher rpm fans and when they are ran on low rpm they may be noisy , the 1200rpm was made to run at lower speeds while it was 15db and a good 54cfm flow. you asked for advice but then kinda ignored it and did your own thing anyway. Makes me wonder why you asked in the first place
