When using the Kirkland photo glossy paper with a Canon IP4000, is it
best to use the setting for Canon Photo Paper Pro or to use another
setting. If so what would be the best setting?

with my i960 I use "glossy photo paper," manual color setting, and usually
reduce intensity to -4 or -6 for softer skin tones. the IP4000 would
probably be similar.

Thanks. Do you reduce the intensity because you like a more muted look?

just seemed to give more accurate skin tones. My granddaughter has very
fair skin color and the photos were oversaturated at neutral
manual.settings. This was true with OEM ink and canon pro paper as sell as
Epson glossy and Kirkland glossy. Same with MIS inks as well. Neil Slade
recently suggested that MIS magenta was a little more intense in tone than
OEM so I may try neutral intensity and just reduce magenta a little.

I have found that using the Canon Easy-Photoprint program Version 3.2 with
the "Matte" paper setting on Ilford "Smooth Gloss Paper" gives instant dry
and excellent image colour and densities.
