I have 8 cougar rgb fans but my mouse, keyboard and motherboard are Asus Rog (aura sync "native"?) also i have 4 drams that are compatible with aura sync and already working with it. Now this 8 cougar rgb fans are conectet to the Cougar Box Core to control them, but i want to control them with the Aura Sync.

The Cougar Box Core is supose to be compatible with Aura Sync, also it have a cable to conect with the mother board:

The compatibilty is in Cougar website https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1en4BYGvzO0GxxNGuG9r_MW06ofMUB-NfN2xIxX6eLCg/edit#gid=0

BUT my ROG strix x299 e-gaming have only 4 pins

What I have: 4 rgb cougar fans (come with the case Cougar Panzer Evo Rgb); 1 rgb cougar vortex fan; the Cougar Helor 360 as a CPU cooler AIO (it comes 3 fans Cougar Rgb). The Cougar Core box v1 and v2 (one come with the Helow 360 and the other with the casse) Rog Strix x299 e-gaming

What I already try:

Spliter 4 pins https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072K21JVF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (doesnt work, also i force the adaptors by removing one of the pins and try to conect it to the cougar rgb.)

The cougar Helor rgb fans supose to come with adapter to conecto directly to the motherboard but i only have 1 (since i only buy one independent fan, the ones that come with my case and my cpu cooler aio doesnt come with that. BUT even that adapter have the 3 pins vs 4 pins problem.

SO before I waste more money, im asking if I bought a adaptor from 4 pin to 3 pin, and conect it to the Cougar Core Box v2, it will work for the Aura Sync?

Aura Sync has 2 versions as you have just discovered. the 3 pin is for Addressable RGB IE it is Ground-Live-Data. the 4 pin is the older 5050 format and is Red,Green,Blue,Live. The best implementation is as follows: 3pin to the controller and then 4pin to the actual fans. Now your Motherboard has 4 pin jacks so you need to go 4pin to 4pin which is actually easier. In this instance take the RGB header on your board and use the included Addressable 5v header to connect to the box. Then use the SATA to fan adapter also included for the box power. Finally link all your fans into the fan box. It appears you have all the required components already.
