While I own the 700K and 700M, (and I actually like them,) I've heard stories that Cougar is actually part of HEC and has inherited the horrendous support network of HEC... as in stories of HEC doing everything within their power to NOT honor the warranty offered on the products.

Does anyone know this to be true? If it is, I hope I will never need warranty support. If it is, it's a shame because the Cougar peripherals are, overall, pretty nice.

HEC does make 97% of the Cougar PSU's.Not sure about the rest of their lineup.
