Hi, so I'm currentlding a PC right now and I'm kind of confused. It's my first time building a PC but the case I think doesn't have the traditional standoffs where you actually place them. I got two of the traditional standoffs but where I could place them on the case doesn't have hole on the mobo. And the holes where I should put the standoffs are raised so I'm guessing I don't need to put any standoffs? And just put screws on the holes? I'm using a MSI G43 z77 ATX mobo

It is common with cheaper cases that they come with those, call them built in standoffs so you are probably right. To make sure laying the board in and see if it lines up correctly with the I/O back shield will confirm that.
