Could a not latching 24-pin motherboard connector cause gpu issues?

Hi guys! Soo, I have a little problem. My gpu crashes while gaming and does strange noises... Sometimes it goes black screen and then I need to restart it. But the problem is that everytime it goes black screen, it won't boot up, it keeps restarting. And now the other problem. I have a Corsair cx600W psu and the 24-pin connector is not latching into my ga-z97x-gaming3 motherboard. And everytime the pc goes black screen and tries to restart I need to wiggle the 24-pin power connector that it can boot up properely. When i wiggle it, only the drives are working, no power to the motherbard, but when I push it harder, than it starts booting. It's really strange tho...
P.S. heard rumours, that the cx600w of corsair has this "not latching" problem. Is it true?

CPU: i5-4690 3.5ghz
RAM: Kingston Hyperx Fury red 2x4GB ddr3 1600 mhz
GPU: Gigabyte gtx660 oc edition 2gb DDR5
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z97x-GAMING 3
PSU: Corsair CX600 W
HDD: Western digital blue 1TB
SSD: Samsung evo 840 120GB

It seems like the 24 pin is getting dislodged from vibration. Try using electrical tape to hold the 24pin connector in place

Oh, sorry m8's, I drove to a technician and he plugged it in! Problem fixed!

It's a known flaw in the way the CX series 24 pin is made , has a poor clip , once in awhile you see it in the RM series.

It's a common question on the forum ^

RMA it or buy a quality branded PSU.


Note: The CX600 isn't Haswell compatible.

Thanks for your answers, dudes! I really appreciate it. I fixed the problem. As I said, drove to a technician and he plugged it in somehow. Still thank you. I'm still thinking of getting a Be Quiet! Power Zone 650w psu. 😉
