Could an SSD save a dinosaur? YOU decide!

My system's slowed down a lot recently (see the specs and you'll totally understand why).
I thought to install Windows 7 on a SSD (prob. Kingston V300 120GB) and boot from that, leaving XP (along with the rest of my data) on my current HDD and ignoring it for the boot sequence.

I'm currently running XP on the following system (feel free to laugh):
Pentium Dual-Core E5300 @ 2.6 GHz
ASRock G31M-VS
2x2GB DDR2 800 MHz
360 GB HDD @ 7200 RPM

Will the addition of the SSD/upgrade to 7 make any difference in system performance/speed?

Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments? Concerns?
Thanks!

PS I'm currently overseas, where a $60 SSD (on Amazon) costs about $75. The money's not an issue but the cost and convenience isn't the same as in the US.

Yes, assuming your "dinosaur" isn't ancient. Older dual cores like your system see GREAT gains by moving to an SSD. No more waiting on the disk... Check out the Crucial MX100.
