could i get to 3ghz with this

yeah, i guess so, what speed is your ram 400mhz ?
motherboard might limit your overclock though seeing as its a 'performance-value' board. you'd have to get:
idea a
334*9=3006mhz
or
idea b
375*8=3000mhz
then i have no idea how the HTT works, i think you have to multiply the bus speed (200mhz) by like 5 to get you 1000mhz HTT.

of course if im right you have to lower the HTT multiplier to like 4 for idea a so you get 1336mhz HTT thats assumuing the mobo can take it (it says in quotes that you cna get up to a 2000mhz HTT so i guess you could keep the HTT multiplier at 5)

334*5=1670mhz

but dont trust all what ive said about the HTT multiplier as im not an expert at it 🙁 but the rest should be fine. 😀

Not beyond the realm of possibility, but its not going to be easy.

165 = low multi's
RAM = iffy
mobo = could be better

Get a better northbridge cooling solution.
Take your CPU to 1.5v if necessary, and up your chipset voltage as well.
Might have to set your RAM on a divider and a 2t line to get that high.

I can only speak for my boards....but the Asus 939 I had did not make 300HTT. My DFI and Sapphire boards did, so I'm just giving you a fair warning, dont be let down if you dont make it.

i heard the gigabyte galaxy has a leaky something or other but i really dont know

and right now when i oc i usally keep it between 2400 and 2600mhz and the ht is at 3 but any higher and it wont start usally
