Could I Get Windows 10 in This Case?

Okay, so I'm in a situation that I can't really find a solution to online, or there's a whole bunch of articles contradicting others, so I'll just explain it as well as I can here.

I've been saving up to build a new computer since the summer. Now, I've gotten everything, motherboard, CPU, graphics card, etc. The only thing I don't have is an operating system. I'm planning to get Windows 10 Home on this new computer. I haven't participated in any free updates for Windows 10, and seeing as it's nearing the end of the year (and the end of free upgrades), I was wondering if I could transfer the free Windows 10 to install on my new computer that I'm building.

I've already looked this question up before, but couldn't find anything. Either there wasn't a similar situation, or one article said this, and another said that, so I ended up with nothing. So I just decided to ask myself here. Thanks for any help.

if you have already used the free upgrade on another computer then no it can't be moved to the new build.

if you have not upgraded yet, then wait until the new build, install windows with your old key and then do the upgrade to win 10.

once the upgrade is done, it is tied to that hardware and is not transferable nor is the old windows key you upgraded from still usable. it's a one and done thing

Alright, thanks! I'll install with my old key and get Windows 10 that way.
