Could I put a new motherboard in my hp case?

I'm looking to buy a motherboard for my new cpu and I was wondering if I need to buy a new case for my motherboard or will it fit? My guess is yes, but I'm just making sure. It's a mATX motherboard. Thanks for the help.

Yes it will fit as long as its a micro atx motherboard. they are all the same size just some might have heatsinks on the VRM's etc that could possibly get in the way of certain things in that case most likely unlikely to happen though you should be fine.

Also of course make sure that the motherboard you are buying is the right socket for your CPU

Generally HP and Dell have proprietary cases. If that's "the case" a standard atx form factor will not be compatible.
