I've never used this site, so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area, but I plan on upgrading very soon and wanted to get this card. But I'm nervous about the rest of my computer currently being able to handle it, so here are my specs as I'm not 100% I was using the PSU calculator right. Thank you for any help!

My case has two fans - 2 x hydraulic bearing 140mm Silent Series R2 fans, 1000 RPM speed

PSU - SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

CPU - i5 4670k@3.4ghz Haswell

GPU - This 970 (980 is a bit out of reach for me, besides, I don't think I'll need anything stronger for a good few years with what I want to play)

Mobo - GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-D3H LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI 6 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Ram - 2 4 gig sticks sticks of ddr3 ram, 8 gigs in total

HDD - 7200 rpm HDD, SATA

CD Drive - ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

Heatsink - Hyper 212 Evo

As for USB's uh.. I think I'll consider 1-3

And I wasn't sure if it had to come into play but this PSU *is* from early 2013, and it's still going strong but I wasn't sure on how much degrading I should have put into the calculator, I do turn it off at night.

Solution
The PSU is 40A which = 480 watts actual wattage.

This is enough for your rig, your rig will use under 400 watts under load...

That small of an amount? I guess I was so worried for nothing. Also, I've never had to plug in a power cord to a GPU before, am I correct in that I only need to plug in the 6+2 pin into that video card for it to work?

Mm, does my posted PSU have that? I am uncertain when it comes to things like that...

I look in the specs and it has two things that seem to relate to it, but if it's not right, is there an EVGA model of that card that *could* work with my PSU?

Your psu has an 8 pin and a 6 pin connector & can power this card...
