[SOLVED] Could I run mac OS X on a FANGBOOK EVO HX7-100?

I was looking to build a gaming hackintosh that would dual-boot with windows, but I need it to be portable. Hence the laptop and not a desktop. Would this be possible given the specs of the laptop?

Also, in order to boot into OS X, would I be able to boot from an external hard drive or is there another way.

Incorrect. Hackintosh discussion is perfectly fine as long as that discussion stays centered on the hardware. After all, Macs are nothing more than glorified PC's. No discussion of hacked/cracked/modified versions of the OS, or where to get them, is allowed.

Perhaps that's your interpretation, but any discussion of Hackintosh is obviously done with the intent to use OS X on the non-Apple machine which is deemed illegal.

Apple has shut down at least one company that sold Hackintosh machines even though they didn't have the OS on them. The court deemed the intent was obvious thus participation was illegal. To be clear, the Apple EULA for OS X states it can only be used on official Apple hardware, thus installing it is an illegal act.

You may interpret this differently but I've interpreted this as a violation of the Forum rules. Even if it wasn't I don't feel comfortable helping someone commit an illegal act.

@photonboy, it is not your place to interpret the rules, that's what the moderators are here for. The Community Manager has spoken and has decreed that as long as the discussion centers around the hardware, and does not stray into the OS arena, it is to be permitted here.
