Could I Upgrade to this CPU?

Hello, I was wondering if I could use this CPU (AMD Athlon II X2 250 Processor) with my current PC setup.

M2N61-AR (Acacia) motherboard
Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit
NIVIDA GeForce 9500 GT 1GB
RAM: 1918 MB

If not, could I perhaps settle for the AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.8 GHz?

All the latest games at 'tolerable frame rate'? Questionable.
You might have to adjust graphics settings and resolution to get smooth frame rates.

Well I'll narrow it down, becuase I have games now that I can run with no lag, I'll just tackle the hard ones.
How bout GTA 4, and L.A. Noire?

Oh I don't own those games. But are you sure on the LA Noire? I heard that it was a very poor port to PC and that even a very modern and powerful PC will lag with it.
