Question Could I use one stick of 8gb ddr3 in a Lenovo Thinkcentre m58

So I’ve got an old, used Lenovo m58 I bought off eBay And it’s got one stick of drr3 4gb and I was wondering if I could put one stick of 8gb that I have Laying around, it’s got 1600 Mhz clock speed, and it’s unbuffered, non Ecc ram, Would this ram work with that machine,

PC specs:
Ram: 4gb ddr3 Pc3 12800u 2Rx8
CPU: intel core 2 quad, q6600 (it’s an upgrade from the core 2 duo that cane stick in it)
Gpu: Ati Radeon HD 5770
HDD: 1 tb Seagate 7.2k rpm’s (that’s an upgrade too)

No harm in trying, if it not work it won't boot. Pretty sure though maximum dimm modules per slot is 4gb.
