Question Could increasing fan curve speeds somehow make things bad?

I want to increase my fan speeds in my curve a bit, could increasing the speed in the wrong places possibly worsen temperatures?

I know it probably doesn't make sense that increasing fan speed could somehow worsen temperatures, but I figured I would ask anyways.

are you talking only case fans, CPU cooler fans, GPU fans?
you don't really give any related information.

a lot depends on the case you're using,
the fans in question,
the fans' positioning in the setup,
your ambient room temperatures, etc...

negatives could be loud noises,
less lifetime for cheaper fans,
heat trapped and recycled in certain areas of the system.

there's quite a bit that can happen but the exact setup of your system would be necessary for any definitive answers.
