I'm planing to become one of the "early adoptors" of ati 5870 BUT since my mobos chipset is ip 35 pro ,I was thinking of xfire 5850x2 .Cant find bandwidth of 5850 .Would bottlenecking occur in my case ? coz I know single 5870 surely wont bottleneck ,but 5850x2 is suspicious .What do you think

My understanding is that 16-8 doesn't hurt a noticable amount on the current gen, but 16-4 as your board is does have an impact on current gen cards.

If that's so, since next gen is faster, I would assume the throttling would limit a second 5850's performance to (near?) that of a current-gen card.
