Bought a very cheap Firewire pci card (INNO DV1000LE) for doing some
video editing. Can capture material no problem, and have been editing
in both Movie Maker 2 and Avid Free DV, again, no problem.
But when trying to output material from the editors to the DV camera
(a Sony), the camera sees nothing.
I am aware some Sony cameras in Europe do not allow a digital-in for
tax reasons, but mine definitely does
Spec for Pci card says "Isochronous transfer...for data transfer from
Camcorder to PC", but doesn't mention from PC to camcorder.
Reluctant to buy another card if this one should be fine, and the
fault is elsewhere, but have tried all things suggested on news groups
(removing USB cables, other Firewire cables etc etc).
If this card is only 'one-way' can someone recommend a cheap card that
will send from PC to Camcorder....is there something I should be
looking out for on product specs before buying another card
Thanks
