I upgraded my system with a pci-e wifi card a while ago and ever since, I've had a weird issue where I can't run my display driver above 60hz or the network will drop out (this is annoying because I have a 144hz screen that I kind of like...).
I figured it was a power supply issue after a bit of mucking around, but after changing to a well-reviewed 750w unit, nothing improved.
SPECS:
I have a hunch that it might have something to do with my motherboard being a bit older and possibly unable to handle both wifi, and the requirements of 120hz+ on a display? But the only way I can think to test this is to buy a (still fairly expensive) z97 (newer than mine) motherboard off of ebay.
