Hello everyone.
I've been using my OC'ed 1600 to 2400 DDR3 RAM for a while now. I've ran and passed prime95 blend test withe the overclock.
I don't overclock anything else.
These are the system file and BSOD I generated after the incident.

I was just looking through my email and had a few WORD documents opened. That was nothing too intensive, but then I experienced BSOD 116 for the first time.
The screen was flashing black/blank for a few times before the actually BSOD happened. It scared me !!!

Is my overclocking the issue behind this BSOD ?

The gold standard test for ram is memtest86+
A couple of full passes should have NO errors.

Ask what you hope to gain by overclocking ram.
When you do, the added speed is largely negated by higher latencies.
This results in a minimal difference in real app performance or fps. Think 1-2%

DDR3 ram faster than 1866 will need more than 1.50v.
This may reduce the possible oc for your cpu.
