GPU: AMD R9 270 (not 270x).
After half a hour of full graphics operation, I'm reaching over 90ºC (the maximum operating temperature is 100ºC, so it's pretty close). I changed thermal paste 2 days ago for the same reason, but the issue persists. When idle it gets around ~45ºC, which to my knowledge is also above normal.
The interesting part is...
When I shut my PC down, even if I disconnect it, the chasis' fan will keep spinning, unless I disconnect the HDMI cable and/or the TV. I do know this TV will feed 5V back to my system, because it can run a Chromecast without the additional power wire.
Could this be the cause of the overheat?
EDIT: According FurMark, temperature only increases; there's not a "top" temperature, which means that during heavy operation it just couldn't cool down and I have been in danger the whole time.
