Could old directx (2010) affects the performance/quality of the latest directx 11 (gpu)?

I have direct x 11 gpu but when i try to play Arma2 free, it said, it needed old directx (2010 directx 9 or something) to be able to play arma2 free. but im worrying if i will install old directx's, could my latest gpu directx11 affects the performance or quality?

No, you will play just fine, it won´t be the same graphics quality as a dx 11 game and you´ll have a better perfomance because the game isn´t very demanding.
