Hello,
Long story short, I'm looking to upgrade/replace my old desktop that has a 750ti, i3 4170 and 8gb ram.
I had a look at my workplace and found this laptop : http://www.argos.co.uk/product/7929115
I get 10% discount which would make it roughly £820. Problem is ive been told this wont be any good for games (kind of agree to an extent).
So was wondering if someone could recommend me a build for 60 fps medium-high on Fortnite, WoW, Cod, R6 Siege, gta etc. please
My budget is between £700-£800 (£900 at a push) preferably including a cheap 4k monitor.
Thanks in advance open to opinions/critisism
EDIT: Will be building from scratch not looking for pre-built

What will you be using the 4k monitor for? I would not recommend trying to game on a 4k panel with your budget. 4k gaming is an expensive endeavor.

This rig will handle AAA games at high settings at 1080p/60hz. Adding a 4k panel will push it up to 1k. But a decent 1080p/144hz/free sync monitor will make this rig shine.

Here is about the cheapest 4k monitor you can find and here is a decent 1080p monitor. If you want 4k for your PS4, I suggest looking for a 4k TV and not a monitor. 4k TV's are much cheaper than 4k monitors, at least they are in the US.

I do currently have a 4k tv but space is a bit of a problem, so i was planning on giving my partner the 4k tv, selling the 1080p tv she is using and buying a 4k monitor to use for the pc and ps4 pro or is that not really an option?
Thanks for your help by the way

To get under 900 with the TV sacrifices will have to be made. I was able to keep the 580 as the GPU. I would not recommend getting a GPU below 580/1060. Those GPUs have been out for awhile and any lower tier GPUs will start to show their age soon.

I went with a smaller and cheaper SSD, case, and motherboard. I also dropped from the 8400 to the 8100. In a lot of games, the 8100 will be fine. It is a quad core part that lacks hyper threading, but is the best budget CPU on the market. There will be a time that you regret not going for the 8400 though. The 8400 is a 6 core CPU and it is the best mid-range CPU on the market today. For games that are CPU heavy, it will have a nice improvement in fps over the 8100.

CPFCRhys, congrats on beginning the process of building a gaming PC. A drive you could look into is the BarraCuda SSD available here. This drive will load the OS, games and applications in a much speedier manner and could be an alternative to your build. Let us know if we can answer any questions; we're here to help and no matter what you choose, we thank you for considering Seagate.

28inch 4k freesync screen for £200.

Seen these in the flesh, plasticky build, quality but the panel itself is very very good quality.

Ssd is not an absolute necessity but if you can squeeze it in budget highly recommended.
