first of all, I want to say that im talking about after market cooler designs. almost all of the companies make stock cooler'ed cards, but they are not worth it.
ok. as of right now, there are a few magor brands that sell GTX 980 ti's.
1. EVGA. they are the main AIB partner for nvidia, so they get to play with the card earlier. they have a few versions. one is the regular ACX 2.0 cooler design, with a stock PCB and stock clocks. its prices at 650 bucks, so its a good option if you plan to overclock, and you are on a tight budget. then there are the overclocked versions, but I dont see the point of getting those, as they are more expensive, and you can overclock yourself for free.
2. MSI. they make the Gaming 6G version, which has some neat features, amd is very quiet. it has the twin frozr V cooler, and its dead silent at stock, and extremly quiet at load. im running that cooler with a GTX 970, and its really quiet, they temps are great, and its a good all around cooler (just keep im mind I might be a little bit biast)
3. Gigabyte. they offer the gaming G1, which is the best performing cooler out of the bunch, but its louder, and has less features. not too bad though. one thiung to remember, that this is one of the most expensive options for a 980 ti.
4. Zotac. I think its the best brand, in terms of value for money. for 650 USD, you can get thier AMP! edition, which has 3 fans, a massive heat sink, and some nice features. go for this one over the EVGA, if you are looking to get one for 650 USD, and not a penny more.
there are more companies, but these are the main ones. there are also extreme versions (like the EVGA hybrid and the Zotac arctic storm), but those are over the top GPUs.
