Could SSDs ever be able to perform as well as RAM?

Are there any currently available solid state drives that, when arranged properly, could offer similar performance to that of RAM?

What type of interface would be best, and would a multi-disk RAID-0 array be necessary to achieve similar transfer rates (lets say... 1.5GBps)?

If not.. what are the limitations of SSD's that prevent performance comparable to RAM?

Certainly the interfaces for one. Check out the maximum data rates of the commonly-available interfaces and compare them with typical RAM throughput and latency.
