Could this be a MOBO issue or a CPU issue?

Hey guys!

My computer has been working like trash the last few days. I opened a thread to see if someone could help me with no luck. I have been crashing when playing games like WoW or GTA 5 in which I have not been several weeks ago till now. My computer starts up normally and seems to run well until I play games. Some symptoms: Fans will speed up to max at around the 5 minute mark in a game and will BSOD, freeze or completely crash.

Things I have tried to do already:
-Reimaged computer from Vista 64bit SP2 to Windows 8.1(clean install)
-rolled back NVIDIA Drivers from 353.38, 353.30, 350.12, down to currently 347.88.
-uninstalled razer synapse
-ran verifier program help read the dmp files in which I have posted a few down below
-Ran my PSU and GPU in another computer to determine that both work extremely well under stress
-reseated ram and ran a memtest86 with NO errors
-cleaned the inside of the computer as well as the graphics card shroud
-tested the graphics card for artifacts resulting in zero
-ran S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics on Hard drive to come up with no issues
-ran multiple speedfan tests while running games to find that the GPU right before crash comes up with about 81°C max, with CPU running around 50°C max

So my ultimate questions with all of this information provided would be: Could this be linked to a faulty MOBO or faulty CPU?

Do you mean the Hard Disc Drive? It posts fine right now as it seems. Every time that I have started the computer I get the one short BEEP that tells me that my BIOS is working right?

The razer synapse has been ruled out. When I am not running the verifier, I do not get BSODs or crashes. Although I do get crashes quite often with the current graphics driver. I feel that I have ruled it to be a graphics driver but it still doesn't seem to help even when I update or roll back. At the moment, I am running my GPU in a different PCIe slot on my MOBO to see if that helps. Not sure if a PCIe slot can go bad?

See previous post by me. Sorry didn't click the Reply button.

Interestingly enough, I feel that I have solved a problem here. By moving my GPU to my second PCIe it seems to be running like it had been previously. Is it possible that my PCIe slot on the motherboard could have faults associated with it rather than the one I moved my GPU to now?

Ok sounds good. Thanks for your help!! I will pop back in if I see any more issues. I'm thinking I got it figured out at this point. Of course after playing with this for the past 6 days I figure it out AS I post to the forums! 😀
