Could this laptop replace my desktop?

I recently purchased a Lenovo G50 with an Intel i5 4210u processor and 6gb ram. I do light to mid gaming, meaning I don't plan on playing the lastest greatest titles on the laptop but i do play some on here. Would I be safe in thinking this laptop could replace my old desktop with an AMD-A6 3670k with 8gb ram and a 6570 radeon graphics card?

Nope. You wont be gaming on G50. Maybe mobas only...

From the research I just did through Google, Intel HD 4400 graphics will perform around half as well as the 6570.

I have been able to play D3, Skyrim, CS:GO, and even DayZ with this laptop all on moderately mid settings. If I want to game with nice, pretty graphics I'll just play a PS4 game.
