Very nice, my friend. Why 8GB of RAM with an editing processor, though? My specs are quite similar:
3770k
ASUS Sabertooth
32GB G.Skill Ripjaws
Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 CrossFire.

SO you can choose. Anyway that's a pretty limited gaming PC if you only want to game on it you're better off getting a PS4

Dual core intel cpu?

NO NONONONONO!!

Bad for gaming. DO NOT BUY!

You want a quad core sandy bridge or anything newer than sandy (intel cpu). Or you want one of the new 6 core amd cpus. The minimum video card for gaming IMO is a gtx 760 or better (or a 760 equivalent). Intel cpus are generally better than amd (in general, for gaming and everything else).

For 550? You have to build your own, to get a decent one (as in buy the parts separately and assemble it). This is the only way to get something that can run bf4 acceptably for 550 (video card NOT included in that 550). 550 is quite low. 550 is perfect, if you can build your own computer AND if the video card is not included in that 550 price. Save another 200 for the video card somehow.

I would get some parts of people who are selling them (no tax and save money that way). Allot of people sell sealed/brand new stuff. NO TAX! Try craigslist or whatever selling site that is in your location.

You're drastically overstating how much one requires for a PC. With $550, he could get a perfectly viable mid-range gaming PC, particularly if he didn't need an OS. For example:

Even if he needs an OS, there are viable options for an acceptable, if not amazing, rig:

I once was a noob like you. 90% of the people here will tell you to build your own pc or learn how to.

This pc right here might run bf4 on minimum settings. If you wanna run higher settings start with i5 3570k, amd 7850 or higher and get 8gb of ram to go along with it.
