I could be wrong here but I'm pretty sure it would work but I wouldn't recommend it. The t410 has a PGA988 socket with the highest pre-configurable chip being the i7 620M. The i7 940XM uses the same socket time but it runs much hotter and will mostly like throttle or worse due to having a Tjunction of 100 degrees.
