Hello everyone,
I have just re-installed (after formatting) win 8.1 64bit on my ASUS k55vd.
but, I noticed that there are no USB drivers available for Win 8.1.
The only driver I found on the website is for Win 7 64 bit. I actually tried to install it but the setup gets stuck with the following error:

"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software".

I also tried to install everything on administrator mode but without success, same error.

Is it possible that there are no drivers for Win 8.1? Frankly, this sounds quite embarassing.

Regards...

If your laptop came with Windows 8.1 pre-installed, then obviously there must be drivers available for that version.
The Windows 8.1 drivers are here: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/K55VD/HelpDesk_Download/

As regards the USB 3.0 drivers, ASUS doesn't supply those for Windows 8.1 because Windows 8/8.1 supports USB 3.0 natively which means the drivers are already built in to the OS.
