Counter Strike Global Offensive Graphics or Lag Problem

Hello and thanks for reading,

As the title says I'm having an issue on CS:GO it looks like a video problem or lagspikes issue, but it does not get reflected on net_graph 1, as fps are above 120 at all times and latency is around 60 for most servers i play on with no loss and no choke. The issue is when i play i can see some frame skipping like the guys teleport not too long but i don't see a smooth animation like i should given its supposedly at 120fps, sometimes i run and get backed a bit i heard some guy call it "rubber banding"
My specs are at the bottom my ISP is xfinity comcast at 20mb the bad part i think is that a use a negear N300 usb wifi appliance since the router is in the second floor and I'm not allowed to use my ethernet cable.

any thoughts or possible solutions are welcome, can't do anything about the wifi... I also use google DNS it improved a lot the latency on all games.

Solution
I've played the CS series since 1.3 and always used a cord but when I did try with wifi it was terrible rubber banding.

Apart from an upgrades listed above you could try adjusting cmd/updaterate in CS:GO console but I'm a bit unsure if this will work as I haven't adjusted rates since 1.6 - back then it used to help problems with lag/multiple people on one connection.

Edit: Console commands are cl_cmdrate xxx, cl_updaterate xxx and rate xxxx - Also this may affect certain servers you may want to join, restrictions on rates etc

If you can change your hardware, swap out the N300 for an internal wi-fi adapter, it performs much better imo. (I've personally used the N300 and it's crap).

Thank you all for your replies, they were all helpful i do not want to spend money on more hardware since i'm moving out to another country. Picked Cary's answer because it improved a bit the overall game experience without the need to spend money, and now i will go to my own place so i can use a wired connection without anyone barking at me.

I'm glad I could help mate, google what rates to use for certain connections if you want to make finer tweaks.

Enjoy
