I decided to try recording some gameplay using fraps. Nncapped not recording, I have 150-200 fps. While recording, it drops and stays at 60 fps since that is max that fraps allows. Im recording to a WD Black 1TB 7200 RPM HDD. While recording, i get some pretty bad screen tearing. It is usually located along the horizontal plane of where my crosshair is looking, but occasionally (and im not sure why) it will seem as though it is moving along the vertical plane of the screen, but usually ends up back along the crosshair's plane. Pretty frustrating because i can record other games such as GW2 or even BF3 on close to max graphics with stable 60 fps and i dont receive any tearing, so its not the hardware on my end. Is it just fraps is not friendly with CSGO or the fact that its limiting my fps to 60 causing screen tearing? Thing is, it doesnt happen instantly, for example, when i start recording, the fps will be around 100 and soon after drop to 60. Any ideas or suggestions? I've tried messing with the graphics settings in CSGO and didnt find solution.
