I just bought CS:S to play with a couple friends and I have a problem. I join the game without any problems, and the game runs smoothly, but when we change a map at the end of the loading, when it is sending client info, the game freezes and my computer becomes unresponsive, opening task manager doesn't even close CS and I have to force shut down my computer.
I have looked through many forums about these problems and none have a fix that i understand. Alot are dealing with file commands that i don't know much about.
p.s. i reinstalled steam that i saw from another forum, and it worked for maybe about an hour, 10 games or so. So i'm wondering what it could be?

Radeon hd 6870
corsair 8gb (2x4gb) 1600 ram
WD 500g hd 7200 rpm
