Hello everyone,
I moved and it has become impossible to keep using a cabled connection so I will have to switch to wireless. My MOBO is rather small and the only free PCI slot is located directly beneath my Gigabyte gtx 1060 OC WF2. It has two fans and is facing down. Almost half of one fan would be hidden if I installed a wireless adapter.

How bad is that? Would I see a significant increase in noise?
What about the temperature?

I have thought about buying a PCI extension cable and placing the wireless adapter a few inches lower. That would give the card a little bit more breathing space. Another option would be a USB adapter but I believe they are worse in terms of performance and network stability (I am an online gamer).

it's not awful lets say... it also depends on how good your computer case air flow is set up (fan config, actualy case breathing ability). you should install your adapter and monitor GPU temp, see what happens. it won't kill it. just try.
