The car female socket to feed in music from an outside source is called a Multi-media interface. Two cables are supplied by car manufacturer each with a male connector to female car socket at one end the other end being:

B] female USB connector
The Cowan MP3 player has a 3.5 female socket to feed music to headphones.
What I appear to need is a good quality 3.5 jack to USB male connector to join to the USB female on Cable B above.
