Hey guys, I just got off the line with cox communications my provider, I have been attempting to port forward for about a week now. problem is non of my ports will open, every single port I check doesn't seem to work. So I attempted to call them the guy on the phone didn't know what port forwarding was and would talk over me as I tried to explain my problem, he then hung up after asking him what i should do next. I was going to call back but simply don't want to wait a half hour for someone to pick up and then not understand the problem.
So for example mine craft, a popular thing to port forward. I had a server up and working just fine a few months ago. people could join and it was working great. but after attempting to start the server up again my friends couldn't join I then went to see my problem, the port forwarding so I enter into the normal port range forwarding and I see port 25565 is already enabled. so I attempted to change the port in the config. this didn't work then I tried a port checking tool and non of the ports i tried would work what so ever.
Gist of the story, I need help understanding why port forwarding on my cox modem/router no longer works.
Modem/router: Cisco DPQ3925C
Provider: Cox communications.
Any help would be wonderful!
