CPU 100% usage ingames, and fps drops.

I have core 2 duo e7500 2.93ghz and gts 250 1gb, so i know that the hardware is old but i have played battlefield 3 with a good fps before without fps drops and lag, need some help...

U mean the temperature? While gaming i have CPU on 53 c, and GPU on 70 c - 80 c.

GPU is a little high but not high enough to thermal bottleneck.

Have you tried to update the drivers? Also when you do try and use the clean install option in the custom installation options.

I have reinstalled the windows, and again reinstall the drivers for gpu, and tried with old version, but still the same..
I have to tell you, this computer have been used from my dad and he told me like the pc starts laggy and i see that the cpu have a temperature of 68-71 c while gaming, and i changed the cooler, the thermal paste and now the temerature is good but maybe the cpu is damaged ?

Please someone help me guys, i can't play games like this.. but i don't have money for new parts.
