CPU 8 pin connector stuck! help!!

Sooooo I was just doing some cable management because i have used my pc without cable management and it look terrible besides than that my temps are really bad so i decided to do some cable management but i can't remove the 8 pin connector of my cpu. I don't want to force it cause it might damage my motherboard and all i have now with me is a philips screw driver. How can i safety remove the 8 pin connector?

There may be a clip holding it in place but other than that it shouldn't be to hard. Also cable management does not affect temps just looks.

You need to click the clip holding it together.

Unclip it then pull. (Not with full force).

yes there is actually a clip i tried to pinch or squeeze it and gently pull in upward but it doesn't seem to be remove. 🙁 and i am actually installing my led lights and front fans so i need to do cable management.

You need to click the clip holding it together.

Unclip it then pull. (Not with full force).

already did that. it doesn't seem to be removed. Im worried that it had melted. 🙁

Are you pulling straight up? You may need to wiggle it while pulling to help loosen the connection.

Try to use your fingers to get under it and pull it outwards.

Push the cable inwards so it isn't being restricted.

Tap it with a shotgun a couple of times, increasing the force each time... barrel on the connector with your index finger gently resting on the trigger.

When u pinch the clip, does it unlatch? If it doesn't, you may need to force the latch...
if it does, then u may need to gently tap against the connector with the back of a screwdriver.
push the connector down, unclip and wiggle out.
Failing that, use the shotgun trick!

i just tried to wiggle it gently but it won't come off. I also notice that when i try to wiggle it the connector of the 8 pin from motherboard also move it feels like its coming off. ugh i feel so frustrated.

thanks mate!! i successfully removed the cpu power connector. I thought my pc would be dead. When i am trying to figure out how to remove it, I feel agony, hatred and i learn how to hate the world. But when i tried your suggestion i successfully removed it. i am now crying with tears of joy and learned how to love the world again. I thought my pc would be dead because at first it was booting up but there is no display but my ram was not properly installed so i installed again. Really thank you!! lol
