Question CPU 8 pin slanted, could this be why build not posting?

so basically. i bumped my system a while ago and has been red lighting since. i put in 2 diff cpus and the i3 10100 was definintely getting warm and 11700kf was getting warm as well i believe, the 8 pin connector is slanted and missing housing for 2 of the pins, the plastic piece around the conductor, tried on 2 diff mobo with same results, has anyone had a similar issue? theres no bent pins, i had fan header plugged in etc
