Hey guys,

A couple of days ago as I got my PC back up from sleep the CPU fans started going crazy, it literally sounded like my washing maschine was on (because one of the 2 CPU cooling fans was going at 5000rpms). I checked the Core Temp up and it showed all 4 cores sitting at 80 to 90* C.

There were no new software installs, I haven't accessed any websites I don't casually frequent. None of that. Since then I've opened up the case and dusted it off with compressed air, took off all fans, GPU, cleaning it up, put it back together in hope that maybe the CPU was over heating because of too much dust.

No success, nothing has worked so far. Even worse when I checked SpeedFan, it actually shows that just 2 of my 5 case fans even register even tho they're all spinning. I put my hand above the top mesh were the CPU fans are, and its blowing colder than AC lol.

What do u guys think might be the problem?

Here are my PC specs:

AIOs inevitably fail. Replacing it with another cooler would be the first place to start.
Seeing the 6700K and GTX 1080 on the list... can I assume you've had this PC for some time?
Yes, this PC was built in 2016 at Microcenter. I went in selected all the parts in the list and had them install them for a fee.

It's not reading all your fans because you have a fan controller.
For a good cooler (keep everything that comes wit it)

Read the install instructions.

Do you think the controller is preventing the fans to register properly? I haven't changed any settings in regards to this since they put it together back in 2016.

Thank you for your help, both of you actually!

If your using the fan controller then probably none of the fans (plugged into it) are being reported.

I would need a link to the exact controller but most of those have no way for the motherboard to read the RPM.

If your not comfortable installing a CPU cooler I'm sure your local Microcenter will be glad to install one, A bunch of air or water coolers will work for what your using.

Yeah, I'm totally not comfortable installing that myself, as you can tell I'm not super experienced in building PCS. This is the controller that I'm using, the documentation on their website is really not that helpful to be honest.

Not actually a link to the fan controller but it tells me 3 of your fans are not reading because of the fan controller.
