CPU & 95C damage cpu over a long period of time?

Hey guys. I'm trying to figure out what is going on with my laptop, lately I've been gaming on it for quiet some time (around 3-4 hrs a day) and even though I have a laptop cooling fan maxed out the cpu stays at around 90-95C. Now when I plug it in to my TV it just shuts off completely without warning (like when you hold the power button in to shut it down). I even did a full reinstallation of windows and that didn't fix it, I'm on the latest bios.

So my question is more on if 95C cpu temp can damage a cpu not to fix this shut down without warning issue. However, if you do have some advice on that, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Does your computer shut off when you just plug it in doing nothing or does it shut off when playing games and plugin it to the tv? The laptop might be shutting down because of overheating or thermal protection. What kind of laptop do you have? 95c on a cpu is pretty bad for it.

It is weird, 1st time I switched from balance to high performance power plan and it made it stay on for around 15 min while watching on TV and gaming until it did shut down abruptly. 2nd time i put my mouse into a usb 3.0 port and it made it go for 1 hr before it shut off and again gaming and watching simultaneously, then when I reinstalled windows 8, right when I would plug the TV in it would just shut off.

What is really weird however it only does this crazy shut down when the TV is plugged in. Never with my 23' 1080P Asus MX 239H.

Laptop is a gigabyte q2532N.
