Cpu amd fx 8350

My amd fx 8350 sometimes while in games drops from 4.0ghz to 2.8, this in game makes my frames drop down to 4fps on ultra for abt 10-30secs then goes back up to 85.

Id like to stop this pesky cpu speed drop. Thanks

What motherboard and power supply do you have?

Cooler power 1080w psu and asus z formula motherboard. I think it may have been the c6 in bios checking that now.

Just finished with the bios, it was the c6 state thanks for help tho.

Yes running it constant at 4.0ghz shudnt hurt it since it hits max of 50c under bench marks
