CPU and BIOS problem

I have AMD Athlon II x3 445 CPU. Until today it was set on 3.1ghz but today when I booted up my PC it was set on 2.2.
When I go in BIOS and change CPU NB ratio to auto it won't save. Everything else is saved but that just won't save and it stays at 11x.
PC specs:
MOBO:MSI 880gm e41
GPU:AMD radeon HD 5000 series 512mb
CPU:AMD Athlon II x3 445
RAM:4 gb

Did you check for malware?

Will download malwarebytes and run a scan now.
Also when I watch youtube videos I get an annoying buzzing sound.

Perhaps your hardware failed...

It is weird how I didn't get any BSODs since CPU frequency changed to 2.2.
I don't know if it has something to do with that...

The GPU probably failed or got fried.

Most probably. My pc has a bad cooling system and temperatures are often 50-70C.
Is there a way to check that?

If to check the temps, you can download a free temp monitor.

You could open your case and look if something's fried. Or, you could go into Device Management (devmgmt.msc in Run) and see if everything that's in your computer is there.

I get a buzzing sound sometimes when I watch videos on internet and my
PC slowed down quite a bit.
Also when I reinstalled windows and installed GPU driver it didn't detect my GPU.
However when I restarted it ran smoothly. And again my cooling system is really bad.

Perhaps your cooling system wasn't good enough for your GPU and it decided one day that it'll quit

I'll open up my case tomorrow and see if my GPU is fried a bit.
Also I guess I should check if the GPU fan works...
