CPU and Components

Hello,
I recently got a newly assembled pc around with the following specs:
Core i5 2500 @3.3 Ghz
Asus P8H61-M LX Mother Board
8Gb Dual Channel DDR3 Ram
Sparkle Nvidia GTX 560 Ti
500 GB Hitachi HDD
Cooler Master 650 SMPS
Windows 7 Home basic 64
all this in an I-ball cabinet having one rear fan.

All this got me really excited but of late i have benn getting BSODs , RSODs, GPU error messages, and yesterday my computer froze while I was playing MW3 and this was followed by a loud buzzing sound.
I had to restart the pc manually and then tried to check videos from youtube but the pc froze and the screen became pinkish red with purple alll over the place.
I used CPUID HWMonitor and found that my CPU temp was around 87C to 90C.
Could you please help me out and send some solutions my way. Is this a cooling problem or something else?? Btw all my drivers are up to date.

Either cooling or your video card went bad, usually that happens due to heat. If it went bad already, adding more cooling now won't help.

87c-90c is very high for a CPU at regular load, i'd check to make sure your CPU cooler is on fully. I assume you're using the stock cooler, and i always recommend going with aftermarket, even if it's not the one of the top range coolers like the NH-D14 coolers or custom water cooling. Something like a Corsair H100 or even H80 can help improve CPU temps.

Also i see that you stated your case only has a single rear fan, this is also a large factor in cooling, if you only have one fan moving air, then it's going to be even harder for the CPU to get cooled since there will be little air coming in onto the CPU cooler for it to use, so the CPU fan then must do all the heavy lifting by generating it's own airflow to direct onto the CPU.

So i recommend getting some more case fans and mounting them in your case if you have the room for them. If your case does not have room for extra fans, then i'd reccomend moving over to a better case that has multiple fan mounts so you can get a good amount of air flow through the case.
