so.. after updating bios 7B00v1JR beta and changing cpu (ryzen 3 1200 to ryzen 5 2600) my pc cannot boot, debug led cpu and dram lit up.

before changing the cpu (update latest bios) there is no trouble at all

for now, i don't have other compatible parts

how to fix it? thanks

spec
  • ryzen 5 2600
  • msi b350 gaming pro carbon
  • galil evo x 2X4gb
  • saphhire rx580

Solution
Version 1JR is meant for a Ryzen 3000 CPU but it should work for a 2000. Did the update go as expected?

Try resetting CMOS: turn off and disconnect power cord, remove the coin cell battery and short the pins for a minute or two. Reassemble and try it.

sorry to hear that...

But when you did it, did the BIOS update go as expected? meaning it progressed through and then restarted the computer...or told you it was time to restart.

When you try to start it with the 2600 are you getting both the CPU and DRAM debug LED's lighting steady? You might try one stick of DRAM at a time just to see if something's amiss there.
