CPU and GPU combo question

I am planning on buy a new gpu ... gtx 960 or r9 380 or r9 380x .... i havent choose yet .... but here is my question .... will i make a good use of gpu like this considering i have an i5 3470 ??? or a gpu like the ones mentioned above will be an overkill and i should buy something like gtx 750ti or r7 370 ??? ....... i saw minimum requiremnents of some new games and my cpu considered like a minimum cpu to play the game ... thats why i am asking !!

Use sites that run benchmarks with your CPU. http://www.techspot.com/review/1006-the-witcher-3-benchmarks/page5.html shows that your CPU is slightly faster than a stock i5-2500K (it obviously is a bit faster when overclocked). What's more important is the minimum FPS that barely increases with a more powerful CPU. Also bear in mind that your GPU will be nowhere near a GTX 980; therefore the bottleneck will be...

Based on page 2, you'll be able to use medium quality while achieving a good minimum FPS. The entry level GTX 750 Ti was not tested because it's a bit slower than a GTX 660 that can't keep the minimum FPS above 30.

thanks a lot my friend ... and one last question i hope to answer :p .... which one of gtx 960 vs r9 380 vs r9 380x (all 4 gb versions) you think will give me better performance?
