CPU and GPU drop to 0% randomly while playing games, huge frame drops

While I’m playing any game my gpu and cpu will drop down to 0-5% from like 60% or 70% and my frames can go from anything down to 1-10 fps. Sometimes it freezes my game. Lowering the graphics settings doesn’t help at all. It happens pretty often no matter what game I play.

I bought a new power supply and that fixed the problem with my computer shutting down during games.

My specs:

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB GDDR5

CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8100 Eight Core-processor

Motherboard: ASRock 960GM-GS3 FX

8GB RAM

PSU: EVGA 500 watt bronze

Solution
Check the CPU temps. If they are high, the CPU must throttle to reduce temps in which case it will fail to deliver data to GPU and both will end up showing 0% activity.
What games are you playing? Esport games like LoL or pretty demending ones like Battlefield, PUBG?

I can imagine that it might be a RAM issue since 8GB ist not enought for most modern games.
And if the games needs more ram then you have, your PC will use something really slow like SSD or even HDD to store the data and reading from a SSD or HDD takes way more time than from RAM.
