Hello, all I recently upgraded my crappy samsung monitor to a 144hz gsync 1080p monitor.
The quality is amazing compared to the old one. Playing games are like a completely different experience now that I don't have to put v-sync on to deal with the pesky tearing. My games are all running at a much higher FPS. I have a gtx 980, i7 4770k, 8gb ram and msi Z97 MB

However I noticed the case is much warmer then usual and the cpu and gpu are also much hotter then normal.

What should I do the CPU is now like 63c and the case feels much warmer then usual

Solution
Well yah if you had a 60hz panel before with vsync on you are not always tapping out the gpu you were reigning it in with vsync, but now you have a 144hz panel and your graphics card is free to try and run your games at the highest framerate it can achieve thus producing more heat.

^ 100% correct ^

Your CPU/GPU are no longer limited to 60hz and can really stretch their legs, metaphorically speaking.

If you are concerned about excess heat, see if you can set a 90hz refresh rate and sync to that. This will still be substantially smoother than 60, but is easier for most good CPU/GPU combos to reach without constantly hitting 100% load. This might save you some power and heat.

When you say metaphorically speaking you mean there aren't little men running around in my GPU/CPU? But seriously this is correct. A 980 will laugh at most games at 1080p 60fps
