CPU Question:

I'm building a new PC and I'm over my budget of $1500 by $100ish. I currently have a 5820k in my cart so I can use DDR4 ram and have some more processing power than the 4790k. I'm just wondering if the peformance is that much better with the 5820k and 3000mhz ddr4 ram compared to the 4790k with 2400mhz ddr3 ram to pay the 2-300$ difference to get the 5820k.
I use my pc to game, video edit and encode, picture edit, record gameplay.

GPU Question:
I'm getting a monitor that's 2560 x 1080 Resolution and I plan to game at that resolution.
At first I was planning on getting a GTX 970 OC Edition, but after getting the answer in a different thread I made and doing my own research I've decided, like they told me in the other thread, that a r9 390 would be better for that resolution. After deciding that I decided to upgrade my gpu a little bit to the 390x.

Now my question is, since the 390x is around 450ish give or take a few bucks, is there a equivalent Nvidia GPU at the $450 price range that will give me comparable fps at 2560 x 1080 to the r9 390(not comparing to the 390x because I'm willing to pay a little more for nvidia)?

looks like both amd and nvidia still having issues tapping out there next gpu chips.
swap the 2011 cpu for a 1151 cpu and se if you have a local micro center for combo deals. you dont need the 2011 mb unless your using 2 or more gpu in a gaming system. for gpu for 450.00 hold off the newer pascal gpu from nvidia dropping in april. there going to be a lot faster then the older 900 line.

The only current Nvidia GPU that competes with the R9 390 is the 970. They are both great cards, performance is very close too. But generally speaking Nvidia has better driver support for games, not that AMD doesn't release decent drivers, its just that Nvidias are usually released quicker and have fewer issues. I myself have been looking at purchasing one of these cards but cannot decide which. One thing to consider is the GTX 970's 3.5gb RAM (if you don't know what I mean by it only having 3.5gb instead of 4gb, check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPlCIUh_Tp0) vs 8gb of VRAM in the R9 390, the 390 is generally better for higher than 1080p resolutions as it makes more use of the VRAM.

I personally, am going to wait to see what Nvidia release as a successor to the GTX 970.

Also, regarding your CPU; if you want to use DDR4 RAM; why not get a i7 6700k?

I guess I'm going to have to go for the 390 or 390x since ill be gaming at 2560 x 1080 Resolution, and im not trying to wait till april to get my pc

Also the 5820k is less than $10 more than the 6700k and seems like a better processor also.
